Indoors, you are Mother Nature. Adding CO2 can increase growth in plants, but if you don't balance this with the other environmental factors, you will lose that which you hope to gain. Humidity:
70-80%;
Temperature: 70-80˚; Root zone and stock tank 70-80˚
Nutrient tank temperatures below 70º really slows
down plant growth and the
rooting of cuttings.
Because plants grow faster with CO2,
it’s easy to outgrow your lights. For tall or vineing plants or cuttings, at 6 inches tall, the lighting cycle should be cut to 12 hours and
bloom formulas started. This will result in a more desirable plant, compact
and strong.
If using a CO2 generator, make
sure to vent the room on a cycle that provides sufficient fresh air. As the
generator uses up the oxygen in the room, the gas burns incompletely, and
can result in damaged plants. Insufficient oxygen can extinguish the flame
in the generator.
