FloraShield Recommended Use: • General disinfectant for cleanup of tools and growing systems. • Nutrient reservoir treatment forroot protection. • Surface disinfectant for seed. • Application to the growing medium during all stages of crop growth. FloraShield inhibits multiple enzymatic reactions necessary for disease growth and development. Most plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria are susceptible to FloraShield, although beneficial Trichoderma species are not affected at normal use rates. Directions For Use Reservoir Treatment: Add 1 part FloraShield to 100 parts of nutrient solution in the reservoir and circulate. (example: add one Liter FloraShield to 100 Liters of nutrient solution, 1 1/4 oz. to 1 gal.). FloraShield Dosage for Equipment Cleaning, Seed Sanitation, Vegetative Propagation and Pre-treatment of Rotting Media: Mix : 1 1/4 oz. FloraShield into 1 gal. of water (one Liter to 100 Liters). This is the standard 1:100 solution. Equipment Cleaning: Dip tool in FloraShield Mixture for 2-3 minutes. Wipe equipment with FloraShield and allow to air dry. Seed Sanitation: Some bacterial and fungal pathogens are transmitted via seed. If fungi or bacteria are present on the surface of the seed, FloraShield will kill them on contact. Soak seeds for 5-10 minutes in FloraShield Mixture, then rinse with clean water before planting. Vegetative Propagation: Cuttings should be dipped in FloraShield Mixture for 20-30 seconds, then rinsed with clean water prior to applying cloning gels or rooting powders. Pre-Treatment of Rooting Medium: Drench in a 1:100 solution of FloraShield and allow to drain.
